Children, rebirth and inheritance
How to continue a family, understand inheritance and distinguish rebirth from a new character.

Three ways to continue
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| Continue as a child | Select a child offered after the ending; family background and some consequences carry into the next generation |
| Rebirth | Start another life with a new background draw; the previous karma value adjusts some family-background weights |
| New character | Create a separate save in the library, without continuing that family |
Where is the child option?
Finish the life and the ending screens, then read the next-life menu. The ordinary route offers up to four children when present. If there is no child option, that ending has no available child to select. You can choose another offered next-life option or create a separate character. The magic branch has its own endings and does not use this ordinary child continuation.
What carries over?
The child keeps their name and sex from the family story, and the family’s province and religion. Their household circumstances determine their own starting funds. Parenting outcomes, family debt and certain consequences of the earlier life can affect the new beginning. This is not a copy of the parent’s final attributes or bank balance.
How is inheritance calculated?
The game starts with the estate remaining after debts, funeral choices and ending events. The inheritance pool cannot be negative. It divides that pool among the children and a qualifying spouse, then applies a fictional inheritance event to the selected child’s share.
Worked example, not a recorded playthrough: a ฿1,200,000 pool with two children and a qualifying spouse gives a ฿400,000 initial share. If the randomly selected event retains 75%, that child’s inheritance is ฿300,000. Other events retain different amounts. These are fictional game adjustments, not Thai tax or inheritance law.
The child receives the inheritance when the parent-death event occurs in their timeline. It is not simply added to the newborn’s money. The time of payment and events along the way matter.
Does karma guarantee a rich rebirth?
No. Positive karma shifts some weight from the poorest family group toward a wealthier group; negative karma shifts weight the other way. The next draw is still random. It does not guarantee the richest family, and choosing a child uses the family continuation rules instead.
